NAVESINK, NJ - Open auditions for the Stone Church Players' production of A Little Night Music, book by Hugh Wheeler and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, are Saturday, April 6th, from 2pm to 4:30 pm, and again on Monday, April 8, from 7pm to 9:30 pm.  Callbacks as needed will be at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 9. Evening performances of the production are scheduled for June 7, 8, 14 and 15, with matinee performances on June 9 and 16.  All auditions, rehearsals, and performances take place at All Saints' Memorial Church,  202 Navesink Avenue, New Jersey (if using a GPS, you may need to enter the town as Atlantic Highlands).  The Director for this production is Michael Hazlett.

Interested parties should prepare a musical theatre song that indicates your vocal range--Sondheim will be preferred, but not required, and songs from the show are welcome.  An accompanist will be provided and you may be asked to read from the script.  Rehearsals will be scheduled 2-3 nights per week and a list of any conflicts you may have during the rehearsal period will be appreciated.

Please note that some roles have been pre-cast and the following are the open lead roles that are still required:

            ANNE EGERMAN:  Giddy and virginal, naive at times.  A breathtakingly gorgeous child bride and Frederick's new wife. Femail 17-21 years old. Soprano.

            FREDERICK EGERMAN: Middle-aged lawyer who is married to his second wife, Anne, and has a son, Henrik, from his first marriage. Male, 35-45 years old. Baritone.

            HENRIK EGERMAN: Frederick's gloomy son. He is serious but confused, as he studies for the Lutheran priesthood. Male, 18-23 years old. Tenor.

            COUNTESS CHARLOTTE MALCOM: The Count's manic depressive, mistreated, downtrodden wife. Female, 30-45 years old. Mezzo.

            MADAME ARMFELDT: Desiree's elderly mother; brutally honest and a veteran of discreet encounters with the crowned heads of Europe. Female 65-85 years old. Alto.
