ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The Atlantic Highlands' popular short film festival held July 21st in the charming Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor, showcased a creative and immense talent of filmmakers from across the country and all around the world as it celebrated its 5th anniversary. This year, several films were the spotlight, as they reflected the remarkable spirit of the Jersey Shore and the Tri-State area after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in the fall of 2012.
The films at the Atlantic Highlands Short Short Film Festival this year truly reflected not only such extraordinary talent, but a passion for film making as numerous diverse stories were told from the independent film making community. Each year the genuine excitement of FilmOneFest continues to attract an even greater collection of talent, promising the audience continued champion films. In 2012, SmartMovieMaking.com called FilmOneFest "probably the best little film festival in the world".

'Main Street Walk' In Fair Haven Highlights Small Business

Trenton, NJ – Reaffirming the Christie Administration’s support for New Jersey’s small business community, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno today visited River Road Books, Fair Haven Hardware and Tavolo Pronto in downtown Fair Haven to further the Administration’s ongoing dialogue with small business job creators, while also highlighting proactive measures being taking to foster entrepreneurship and investment in Monmouth County and statewide.
“Small businesses and the entrepreneurs whose hard work and dedication make them successful remain the driving force behind New Jersey’s economy,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “Today’s ‘Main Street Walk’ through Fair Haven is about celebrating that entrepreneurial spirit and reaffirming our support for doing whatever we can to see these small businesses continue their growth in our state’s communities. Such discussions have shaped the work of the New Jersey Partnership for Action, and this trend will surely continue.”

Bring your friends and family to a fun-filled festival presented by ChangeALife Uganda. Please join us as we celebrate the many wonderful people who have helped us open a health clinic, expand a school, sponsor 280 children, change 80 lives through microfinance, drill for water- and find it! ChangeALife Uganda founder Father Lawrence will provide the inspiration with an update on how "hand in hand" we are empowering the poor. One of our goals is to complete the water project, which needs $30,000 for the pipework which will link the health clinic and school to the well which has been built by ChangeALife
