chorus of the atlanticThe Chorus of the Atlantic presents its annual Spring Show, “Voices of Spring,” on Saturday April 26th at 2:00 PM at the Ocean Township High School. This year’s program celebrates a cappella singing with special musical guests, the “Heart of New Jersey” Sweet Adelines chorus and the collegiate men’s quartet “Good Old Days” as well as our own Matinee Idles small chorus. Admission is $17, $14 for seniors, and free for those under 16. There is a $2 discount for advance purchase. The Ocean Township High School is at 550 West Park Avenue, Oakhurst NJ. The Chorus is the Red Bank Area Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The Chapter hosts two annual shows and sings at many venues throughout the year. We are always looking for men who want to sing. The Chorus meets Tuesday evenings at 7:30 at the Red Bank Middle School, 101 Harding Road, Red Bank. Come sing with us!

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Middletown Township Public Library is pleased to announce the return of Reading Buddies.   Meeting Mondays in April– 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th from 4-4:45pm, Reading Buddies Teen volunteers with children in grades K-3 to engender a love of books in the younger children and encourage them to practice their developing reading skills.   This popular program is a great way for reluctant readers to see how ‘cool’ reading can be and to keep avid readers interested in books. No registration required for this age group; meet in the Children’s Department.

jersey bayshore country tvHIGHLANDS, NJ - A new public access television program -- Jersey Bayshore Country -- premieres this week as a "video tour guide" to the New Jersey Bayshore on Comcast Public Access Channels in Union, Monmouth and Ocean Counties, as well as the Toms River area.

The program may also be seen at https://www.JerseyBayshoreCountry.com for those who don't subscribe to Comcast.

The 30-minute weekly program will feature 26 episodes of everything the Jersey Bayshore has to offer for vacationers: swimming, fishing, boating, waterfront dining, incredible views, visible history, cycling, exploring and the people who live in the area.

ahfd harley davidson road kingATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ -- The Atlantic Highlands Fire Department has kicked its third annual Harley Davidson Motorcycle Raffle and has limited ticket sales to 300 at $100 each for the2014 Harley FLHR Road King-Rushmore Series valued at $18,989.

     The winning ticket will be drawn on July 3rd during the department's annual Fireman's Fair at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Yacht Harbor.
