To the letter of January 21 2021 (74,000,000 Voters Feel Disenfranchised)
Yes, me too.
I am disenfranchised , but would not find the talking point reasons stated in your missive to the Herald to be a valid rationale to attempt an insurrection.
We all lost. Let that roll around in your head for a while. You have the next four to think on that. Hmmmmm.
White privilege is coming to an end. I sense this is just the beginning. That’s the real reason these traitors are scared. And our president preyed upon those fears. Demagoguery 101
So I am disenfranchised.
I think I’ll go read a book.

Thank you for printing Mike Burke’s letter to the editor (74,000,000 Voters Feel Disenfranchised) I always enjoy reading the AHH but get discouraged by some of the regular columnists who have been bashing President Trump fir four years. It was refreshing to read something that reflects what so many of us believe and have no where to voice our opinions without being ridiculed.
Respectfully

Giving Voice to Baseless Claims Inflames Hatred

I am appalled that you would print the letter to the editor (74,000,000 Voters Feel Disenfranchised) that you did in (the January 15, 2021 issue of Newsbrief). I understand that each of us has the right to speak. But, what I don't understand is why you would choose to print this tirade of lies and baseless allegations.
The activities at the Capitol building were NOT peaceful and continuing to give voice to such nonsense from Trump supporters is fanning the flames of discontent and hatred. Five people are dead and 25,000 national guards are in Washington to protect our new President due to continuing threats of violence. In fact, there are credible threats of violence around the US.
Shame on you for giving voice to this individual.
Denise Weiner

“This is not who we are.” That’s the refrain from Trump supporters as they watch the sacking and murder at the Capitol by the terrorists in their cult. Oh, I beg to differ. This is exactly what the Trump movement has always been about; violence, intimidation, and delusional thinking, from people who, when not beating police officers and ransacking the symbol of our republic, could probably walk down our streets and not attract any undue attention. But they did murder and ransack, and now they have the attention of many, many people who want justice.
