The 30th Annual African-American Read In is a national celebration of African-American Culture & Literature. Established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month. The Asbury Park Museum is Open Fridays, 12noon-6PM, Saturdays, 12noon-8PM and Sundays, 12noon-6PM until March 10, 2019
A 1,400-square-foot museum loaded with exhibits and artifacts of music. Featuring a Gift Shop of Fabulous One-of-a-Kind Gifts Sponsored by the Asbury Galleria, in cooperation with Classic Urban Harmony founders Charlie and Pam Horner, the Asbury Park Historical Society, and the NJ Pan African Chamber of Commerce, based in Asbury Park.
Lynn Humphrey is the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs William Cleary. Born in Red Bank, raised in Long Branch. Lynn considers herself a Monmouth County Girl having lived in various areas of Monmouth County and has settled down to live in Eatontown since 2006. A volunteer who gathered over 300 hours each year from 2004-2009, volunteering at the MS Bike Ride for 10 years at SCAN for 7 years, and at Holiday Express for 6 years.
